First blues tune and artist you heard?

I may not remember the first blues tune I heard but I do remember the first live performance. The Eric Clapton concert at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds was a great show.

Most memorable blues performance?

Attending the many Mother Blues shows at Gabe & Walkers in Iowa City.

Favorite blues artist past/present?

Past artist is BB King. There are so many artists that I don’t have a clear favorite. I would really like to see Gov’t Mule.

Best blues performance venue/event?

BB King at the Circa(I think) in Rock Island. Intimate environment. Seats up front.

What does the blues means to you?

The music represents life’s struggles, perseverance and never giving up.
