Rev. Robert Jones
Live Blues Show
Reverend Robert Jones, Sr. is a deeply inspirational singer, songwriter, storyteller, and self-taught, award-winning multi-instrumentalist. A master of guitar, harmonica, mandolin, banjo, and fiddle, he brings to life the rich tapestry of American Roots music—drawing from the wellsprings of folk, blues, spirituals, and beyond—to celebrate the beauty, history, and unifying power of our shared cultural heritage.
A proud lifelong Detroiter, Rev. Jones has been a commanding presence on stages across the United States, Canada, and Europe for nearly 30 years. His performances—equal parts concert, history lesson, and heartfelt testimony—have resonated in schools, colleges, libraries, union halls, prisons, churches, and civil rights gatherings alike. With each appearance, he bridges generations and backgrounds, weaving traditional and original songs with timeless stories that speak to the soul.
At the core of his artistry is a profound love for traditional African American and American music, and a steadfast belief that our diversity is not merely to be tolerated, but joyfully celebrated.
Admission is free and donations are gladly accepted. Doors will open at 7pm with the show starting at 7:30pm.
