MVBS.org presents Texas blues guitarist extraordinaire Shawn Pittman. Pittman simply states “I’m just playing the music I want to hear.” He has been amongst great company and has recorded, performed and toured with Stevie Ray Vaughan’s former band, Double Trouble and with Susan Tedeschi of Tedeschi-Trucks fame. At the age of fourteen he picked up guitar and was introduced to Lightnin’ Hopkins and Muddy Waters. Soon after, Elmore James, Albert King and Buddy Guy. Their influence spurred him along and now he has 12 albums under his belt. Not bad! We’ll see you on August 7th at the Viking Club in Moline! Tickets $10 for MVBS members, $12 for nonmembers.
