MVBS.org presents Hughes Taylor, who has emerged as one of the Southeast’s most exciting blues-rock guitarists, blending fiery fretwork, soulful vocals, and powerful songwriting into a sound that honors the genre’s roots while pushing it forward. Hailing from Macon, Georgia, Taylor draws inspiration from icons such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, and the Allman Brothers, delivering high-energy performances that leave a lasting impression.

His latest release, Roasted, showcases the full breadth of his musical vision, combining the heavier blues-rock sounds of Dark Roast with the brighter, more uplifting spirit of Light Roast. A veteran performer who has spent nearly two decades honing his craft, Taylor has earned acclaim for albums including Modern Nostalgia, Restless, and Hear My Melody, along with a Blues Blast Award nomination and international touring success. Backed by a dynamic band and a relentless passion for the blues, Hughes Taylor continues to captivate audiences with his electrifying guitar work and authentic Southern sound.
