Bruce Katz Band

MVBS.org is proud to present two highly-awarded and internationally recognized first-rate blues bands. Ghost Town Blues Band will open at 5:00 on Sunday, June 20th, followed by The Bruce Katz Band at 7:00 at The Viking Club, 1450 41st Street Moline. Admission will be $15 at the door. All proceeds benefit the Mississippi Valley Blues Society’s mission.

Bruce Katz is a legendary keyboardist who has released 11 albums as a leader and has appeared on over 75 other records with the likes of John Hammond, Delbert McClinton, Ronnie Earl, Little Milton, Butch Trucks, Duke Robillard, David “Fathead” Newman, and many, many others. He is a unique player and composer who combines Blues and American Roots music with jazz and improvisational rock music elements that create a signature sound that is all his own.

Horns, harmonies, and homegrown instruments combined with an energetic and roots-rich festival set make Ghost Town Blues Band one of the “must-see live bands on the festival scene today.”
